Korean Dong-koong Kang (above left) is the winner of the sixth and final PBA tournament of 2019. Kang defeated Spanish player David Zapata in the final match 4-1 in sets. Ga-young Kim (above right) was the women's winner against Ji-won Ryu by 3-1 in sets in their final match.

Like a fine wine that gets better with age. Italian Marco Zanetti was the oldest player in the main draw of the Sharm El Sheikh World Cup, and he was also the best. He captured his fourth World Cup gold medal, beating Dick Jaspers in the final: 40 – 29 in 14 innings.

Torbjorn Blomdahl of Sweden is once again king of the three cushion hill winning his seventh world championship title. The tournament held this year in Randers, Denmark was marked with moments of drama, high caliber play and heartbreak. But it was sheer joy for Blomdahl who at 57 has once again stunned the world with his grit and talent.

World Champion DIck Jaspers of the Netherlands defeated Belgian Eddy Merckx to win the Lausanne Billiard Masters. This was Jaspers' third visit to the top of the podium, having won previously in 2015 and 2017. Merckx was the 2018 defending champion. Only Marco Zanetti (2013 & 2014) and Dani Sanchez (2016) have won the title.
